Introducing Rick Long, aka Papa Bags...
In 2001, Rick bought a new Heritage Softail Classic.
Early on he noticed that both saddlebags were collapsing, tainting the overall look of the bike. Rick immediately sought a solution to fix the problem. A couple of weeks later Rick created what would now be known as the Papa Bags Saddlebag System.
In 2003, a friend of Rick’s purchased a new 2003 Heritage and commented on how great Rick’s bags looked and wanted to install Papa Bags before his collapsed. Rick obliged and after hearing the repetitive praise from his fellow group riders he decided to make Papa Bags a full-fledged business.
We all know that any product with the Harley Davidson name means quality, but 220,000 miles of riding and forty years of life’s lessons and experience counts when it comes to understanding how to make something even better! After four long years of research and product development, Papa Bags Saddlebag Support System is the real deal. Today, Papa Bags has enhanced and perfected the original design.

*Installation is simple; units are sold in pairs for both bags and come with minimal hardware and easy instructions (usually complete in under 30 minutes)
*Unlike other products sold in the industry, Papa Bags requires no gluing, riveting or cutting inserts that ultimately restricts the ability to fully open the lid
*Lid liners or inserts are not necessary-the object is to be able to get in the bag, not restrict access
